Push Notifications.
Stay updated in real-time. Learn how to configure browser alerts for your device.
Why Push?
Proximatic uses modern web standards to deliver notifications directly to your device without requiring a heavy app store download. This ensures you get critical updates about volunteer sign-ups, event changes, and attendance alerts instantly.
Setup for iOS
Requirement: iOS 16.4 or later
Open Proximatic in Safari on your iPhone.
Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow pointing up).
Scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen."
Open the new app icon from your home screen and Sign In.
Go to your profile settings and tap "Enable Notifications." When the system prompt appears, tap Allow.
Crucial Step: On iOS, push notifications only work if you have added Proximatic to your home screen using the steps above.
Setup for Android
Open Proximatic in Chrome (or your primary browser).
Tap the three dots in the corner and select "Add to Home Screen" or "Install App."
Once installed, open Proximatic and go to your Profile Settings.
Toggle the Notifications switch and tap Allow on the system prompt.
Troubleshooting
Focus Mode / DND
If you aren't receiving alerts, check if your device is in Focus Mode (iOS) or Do Not Disturb (Android). You may need to whitelist Proximatic.
Browser Permissions
Check your browser settings to ensure notifications are not globally blocked for the proximatic.app domain.
Desktop Support
The steps same apply to Desktop browsers. Chrome, Safari, and Edge all support web push if you permit it in the browser settings.
